​The Supreme Council of the GCC decided on (14 December 2021), to establish the GCC Railways Authority (GCCRA). The GCCRA will coordinate between the GCC member states on the implementation and operation of the GCC Railway Project as a single integrated and interoperable regional railway line that connects all the GCC member states through efficient and safe railway operations and link with the national railway networks in the GCC member states.
