Three churches and three hotels were targeted, killing and wounding a large number of innocent civilians including tourists.The Secretary General described the attacks as an act of terrorism, incompatible with all human and moral values and principles. He expressed the GCC States solidarity with the Government of Sri Lanka in this difficult time, and their support to the Government of Sri Lanka's efforts to defeat terrorists and terrorist organizations.
