Dr. al-Zayani said that this KSA-UAE humanitarian initiative is an important step in alleviating the suffering of the Yemeni people, and help them overcome the difficult conditions they are going through. This initiative will benefit about 12 million Yemenis affected by the war imposed by the Houthi militias in their coup against the legitimate authority. The Secretary-General commended the noble humanitarian efforts exerted by the GCC countries to stand with the Yemeni people and support them.
