His Excellency Mr Jasem Mohamed Albudaiwi, Secretary General of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC), affirmed that the sincere efforts in supporting the joint Gulf action to upgrade the justice system have earned them a high standing and advanced positions at the regional and international levels.
These remarks came during the 35th meeting of Their Excellencies the Ministers of Justice of the Cooperation Council, today, Sunday, October 12, 2025, in the State of Kuwait, chaired by His Excellency Counselor Nasser Yousef Al Sumait, Minister of Justice of the State of Kuwait who is the president of the current session. Present in the meeting were Their Excellencies the Ministers of Justice of the member states.
At the beginning of his speech, His Excellency the GCC Secretary General extended his highest expressions of thanks, appreciation, and gratitude to His Highness Shaikh Meshal Al Ahmad Al Jaber Al Sabah, the Amir of the State of Kuwait, for the sincere and dedicated efforts of the Government of the State of Kuwait in managing and ensuring the success of the joint Gulf meetings during its presidency of this session, wishing the State of Kuwait continued progress, advancement, and prosperity under his wise leadership.
His Excellency said: "These blessed brotherly meetings, which always bring us together in affection, fraternity, and good work, are a reflection of your great keenness, valuable interest, and earnest endeavor to achieve the aspirations of the peoples of the Council states for more accomplishments in the judicial field, in accordance with the wise visions of our leaders."
Moreover, His Excellency pointed out that the significant and tangible efforts made by the GCC states in enhancing judicial integration in its various tracks and the sincere keenness to consolidate the pillars of justice and the rule of law "through your pioneering developmental initiatives to improve the performance of the Ministries of Justice, and your effective coordination and constructive integration between their activities, contribute to achieving the lofty goals of the Cooperation Council, and keep pace with the aspirations of its leaders and peoples towards a more prosperous and established future for the institutions of justice in the Council states."
At the conclusion of his speech, His Excellency Mr Albudaiwi expressed his thanks and blessings for the efforts exerted by their Excellencies the Undersecretaries, and the members of the committee of officials of the departments of international cooperation and international relations in the Ministries of Justice in the member states, for their diligent efforts and hard work in accomplishing the tasks assigned to them, in a way that contributes to strengthening the march of joint Gulf action in the judicial field.
