His Excellency Mr Jasem Mohamed Albudaiwi, Secretary General of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC), received His Excellency Mr Mohamed Amin Sheikh Osman, Ambassador of the Federal Republic of Somalia to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, on Sunday (June 7, 2026) at the headquarters of the General Secretariat in Riyadh.
During the meeting, several topics of common interest were discussed, most notably relations between the GCC and Somalia, as well as ways to develop and strengthen them in a manner that serves common interests. The two sides also reviewed the latest developments on the regional and international arenas, in addition to issues of common interest.
HE the Secretary General affirmed the GCC’s support for the Federal Republic of Somalia in all that would support its security, stability, sovereignty and territorial integrity, in a manner that ensures a dignified life for its brotherly people.
For his part, HE the Ambassador expressed his thanks and appreciation to the GCC states for their significant efforts to support his country across all levels and in various fields.
