His Excellency Mr Jasem Mohamed Albudaiwi, Secretary General of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC), expressed his deepest condolences and sincere sympathy to the family of the late His Highness Sayyid Fahd bin Mahmoud Al Said, recalling the deceased’s virtues and significant contributions to the Sultanate of Oman and the journey of joint Gulf action.
This took place as His Excellency performed his duty of offering condolences, accompanied by an official delegation of senior officials from the GCC General Secretariat, today, Friday, March 13, 2026, at the Ruling Family Members’ Hall in Muscat.
His Excellency also renewed his heartfelt condolences and sincere sympathy to His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik and to the government and people of Oman on the passing of the late His Highness Sayyid Fahd bin Mahmoud Al Said.
During the visit, His Excellency the GCC Secretary General stated that the late deceased made clear and notable contributions to supporting joint Gulf action. He pointed out that his wisdom and valuable experience were instrumental in solidifying cooperation and integration among GCC states, which strengthened Gulf unity and served the interests of the Council's peoples.
He prayed to Allah the Almighty to grant the deceased His vast mercy and forgiveness, to dwell him in His spacious gardens, and to inspire his family and the Omani people with patience, solace, and strength.
