His Highness Shaikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the United Arab Emirates (UAE) and Ruler of Dubai, received His Excellency Mr Jasem Mohamed Albudaiwi, Secretary General of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC), on Tuesday, February 3, 2026. The meeting was held on the sidelines of the World Governments Summit (WGS) 2026 in Dubai, UAE.
At the outset of the meeting, His Excellency the GCC Secretary General expressed his profound gratitude and appreciation to His Highness Shaikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum for the wise directives and dedicated efforts that have ensured the resounding success of the World Governments Summit 2026. His Excellency further extended his best wishes for the continued progress and prosperity of the UAE under the visionary leadership of His Highness Shaikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the country.
The meeting also provided an opportunity to discuss several key initiatives related to the trajectory of Joint Gulf Action and the ongoing efforts to deepen integration among GCC member states. These discussions centered on achieving the aspirations of the peoples of the GCC and fortifying the Council's strategic standing on both regional and international stages.
