Under the patronage and in the presence of His Excellency Mr Jasem Mohamed Albudaiwi, Secretary General of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC), the GCC General Secretariat held a Ramadan Iftar banquet on Monday, February 23, 2026, at its headquarters in Riyadh. The event was held in honour of Their Excellencies the ambassadors and heads of diplomatic missions and bodies accredited to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, alongside senior officials from the General Secretariat.
His Excellency Mr Albudaiwi said that this annual occasion reflects the General Secretariat's commitment to strengthening diplomatic ties and consolidating cooperation between the GCC states and brotherly and friendly nations, as well as international organisations and bodies. He added that such gatherings align with the religious and humanitarian values of the Holy Month, which contribute to fostering closer ties and understanding among peoples.
