His Excellency Mr Jasem Mohamed Albudaiwi, Secretary General of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC), expressed his welcome to the announcement made by His Excellency President Ahmed Al Sharaa, President of the sisterly Syrian Arab Republic, concerning the conclusion of a new agreement with the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF).
His Excellency Mr Albudaiwi noted that the terms of the agreement are instrumental in enhancing and safeguarding the security, stability, unity, and territorial sovereignty of the Syrian Republic.
His Excellency further reaffirmed the Final Statement issued by the Supreme Council of the GCC at its 46th Session, which underscored the vital importance of respecting the sovereignty, independence, and territorial integrity of the Syrian Arab Republic, and that Syria's security and stability constitute a fundamental pillar of regional security.
