His Excellency Mr David Lammy, Secretary of State for Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Affairs of the United Kingdom (UK), received His Excellency Mr Jasem Mohamed Albudaiwi, Secretary General of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC), today, Thursday, June 12, 2025, at the headquarters of the Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office in London.


During the meeting, they discussed and reviewed the bilateral Gulf-British relations, in addition to a number of regional and international files.

On this occasion, His Excellency the GCC Secretary General said that the strength of the historical relations and the strategic partnership between the GCC countries and the United Kingdom has contributed to bringing closer and unifying the views between the two sides on many issues and files, and has elevated security and stability in the region and the world.

Finally, the two sides expressed their aspiration to upgrade joint cooperation and coordination in order to contribute to advancing Gulf-British relations to broader horizons.
