His Excellency Mr Jasem Mohamed Albudaiwi, Secretary General of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC), met with His Excellency Mr Hikmet Hajiyev, First Vice President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, in the Qatari capital, Doha, on the sidelines of the 23rd session of the Doha Forum.
During the meeting, the two sides discussed bilateral relations, including the progress of implementing the Joint Action Plan (2024-2028) between the GCC and the Republic of Azerbaijan.
The plan aims to elevate the prospects of cooperation and relations between the two sides in areas of common interest, such as political coordination, trade cooperation, investment opportunities, and energy, in addition to various other topics included in the Joint Action Plan.
They also reviewed the latest regional and international issues and developments, and exchanged views regarding them.
