His Excellency Mr Jasem Mohamed Albudaiwi, Secretary General of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC), inaugurated the Media Centre accompanying the 46th Session of the Supreme Council of the GCC today, Tuesday, December 2, 2025, in the Bahraini capital, Manama.
The inauguration was conducted in the presence of His Excellency Dr Ramzan bin Abdullah Al Noaimi, Minister of Information of the Kingdom of Bahrain, as well as His Excellency Mr Nabeel bin Yaqoob Al Hamer, Advisor to His Majesty the King for Media Affairs, alongside a number of media figures.
At the beginning of his statement, His Excellency Mr Albudaiwi expressed his thanks and appreciation to His Excellency Dr Al Noaimi, and the National Communication Centre of the Kingdom of Bahrain, as well as all their affiliates.
He praised their relentless and valuable efforts in preparing and establishing the Media Centre for the 46th Session of the Supreme Council and for providing all necessary facilities to media members from various media outlets and countries to facilitate their media coverage of the summit.
His Excellency further emphasised that the significant presence of Gulf, Arab, and international media outlets at the Centre reflects the immense global interest in the GCC Summit. He noted that this coverage serves to highlight the GCC’s historic progress and its strategic positions on regional and international issues.
Concluding his statement, His Excellency prayed to Allah the Almighty to protect the GCC countries and their peoples under the wise leadership of Their Majesties and Highnesses, the leaders of the GCC states.
Meanwhile, a media dialogue session was held on the sidelines of the Media Centre inauguration, featuring His Excellency the GCC Secretary General. During the session, he discussed Joint Gulf Action, its current achievements, future projects, and the GCC perspective on a number of regional and international issues.
