His Excellency Mr Jasem Mohamed Albudaiwi, Secretary General of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC), met with His Excellency Dr Shaya Mohsin Zindani, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates of the Republic of Yemen, today, Saturday, November 1, 2025, in the Bahraini capital, Manama. The meeting was held on the sidelines of His Excellency Mr Albudaiwi's participation in the 21st Manama Dialogue.
During the meeting, the latest developments and conditions on the Yemeni scene were reviewed. His Excellency the GCC Secretary General affirmed that the GCC states stand side-by-side with the Yemeni people, so that Yemen can restore its security and stability and be set on a path of sustainable development, ensuring its brotherly people can live with dignity, peace, and security.
His Excellency also renewed the affirmation of the GCC states' support for the efforts made by the Presidential Leadership Council to enhance security and stability in the country. He also reiterated the GCC's commitment to supporting all international and regional efforts, including those of the United Nations, to reach a comprehensive political solution that ends the Yemeni crisis, in accordance with the three terms of reference: the Gulf Initiative and its implementation mechanism, the outcomes of the Comprehensive National Dialogue, and UN Security Council Resolution 2216.
