His Excellency Mr Jasem Mohamed Albudaiwi, Secretary General of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC), met with His Excellency Mr Asaad Al Shaibani, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates of the Syrian Arab Republic, on the sidelines of the Munich Security Conference Leaders' Meeting today, Wednesday, October 1, 2025, at the Maraya concert hall in AlUla Governorate, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
During the meeting, they reviewed the enhancement of Gulf-Syrian relations and the GCC's efforts being made to mobilise economic and developmental support for Syria to ensure the well-being of the brotherly Syrian people.
In the context of discussing the latest developments regarding the most prominent regional and international issues, His Excellency Mr Albudaiwi affirmed that the GCC states support all international and regional efforts to maintain security and stability in Syria.
