His Excellency Mr. Jassem Mohamed Albudaiwi, Secretary General of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC), stated that the Sultanate of Oman, under the wise directives of His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tariq Al Said, is exerting great, distinct and exceptional efforts to support the General Secretariat during its presidency of the current session of the Cooperation Council.
This came during HE the Secretary General’s reception of Ambassador Shaikh Abdulaziz bin Abdullah Al Hinai, Ambassador-at-Large at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in the Sultanate of Oman, on Wednesday (July 5, 2023), at the headquarters of the General Secretariat in Riyadh.
His Excellency said that during the meeting, views were exchanged on many issues related to the process of joint Gulf action, mechanisms to enhance it, and aspects of unifying efforts towards greater solidarity and interdependence within the framework of the GCC system, which translates the visions of Their Majesties and Highnesses the leaders of the GCC countries and the aspirations of their people.
In conclusion of the meeting, HE the Secretary General appreciated the keenness of the Sultanate of Oman, during its presidency of the current session of the Cooperation Council, to provide all support to the General Secretariat of the GCC.
