His Excellency Mr. Jassem Mohamed Albudaiwi, Secretary General of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC), confirmed that the signing of the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Arab Planning Institute (API) will contribute to the development and support of human cadres in the GCC countries, through cooperation in the areas of capacity building and training.
This came during HE the Secretary General’s meeting with His Excellency Dr Bader Malallah, Director General of API, on Wednesday (July 12, 2023) at the headquarters of the General Secretariat in Riyadh.
During the meeting, an MoU was signed between the Cooperation Council and the Institute, with the aim of setting a general framework for cooperation between the two sides in areas and priorities of common interest.
Moreover, His Excellency praised the great role played by API in supporting Arab organisations and institutions in all their forms, by presenting them with projects, studies and ideas that contribute to the development of national capacities, making a positive impact on the peoples of the region.
HE the Secretary General stated that joint meetings, dialogues and working groups will be held through the Memorandum, in addition to implementing training programmes. He added that it also allows for mutual understanding and cooperation with the Institute, and strives to develop the capabilities of the youth in GCC countries.
