In line with the Keenness of the Gulf Cooperation Council's (GCC) Leaders and peoples to spread peace and stability in the Republic of Yemen, and in affirmation of the high interest that Yemen and its people enjoy within the GCC region.
HE Dr Nayef Falah M. Al Hajraf, Secretary General of the GCC, today (March 29, 2022) called upon the leadership of the Arab Coalition to Support Legitimacy in Yemen and all Yemeni parties to cease all military operations in Yemen.
HE the Secretary General’s call was based on the keenness of the Leaders and peoples of the GCC countries to achieve peace and stability in the sisterly Republic of Yemen, and in confirmation of the great interest that Yemen and its brotherly people enjoy within the GCC system.
The call also coincides with the launch of the Yemeni-Yemeni dialogue under the patronage of the GCC, which will begin today (March 29, 2022), and continues to April 7, 2022.
Moreover, Dr Al Hajraf’s statement considered the occasion of the advent of the Holy Month of Ramadan, with the aim of creating the appropriate conditions for the success of the dialogue and creating a positive environment during the Holy Month of Ramadan to alleviate the suffering of the brotherly Yemeni people and to build peace, security and stability in Yemen.
HE the Secretary General affirmed that the call is addressed to all Yemeni parties and renewed the invitation to Ansar Allah to attend and participate in the dialogue with their Yemeni brothers, giving priority to Yemen's interest and alleviating the suffering of the brotherly Yemeni people.
