His Excellency Mr Jasem Mohamed Albudaiwi, Secretary General of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC), met with His Excellency Mr Abbas Araghchi, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Islamic Republic of Iran, on Saturday, September 21, 2024, on the sidelines of his participation in the 79th session of the United Nations General Assembly in New York, USA.
During the meeting, several important topics were discussed, including a review of the relations between the GCC and the Islamic Republic of Iran and ways to enhance them for the benefit of both sides and the security and stability of the region.
His the GCC Secretary General stated that both sides addressed the latest developments and regional and international issues of mutual interest, exchanging views on them, including a reaffirmation of the importance of stability and security in the region.
