His Excellency Mr Jasem Mohamed Albudaiwi, Secretary General of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC), condemned in the strongest terms the ongoing assaults launched by the terrorist Houthi militia against the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, most recently the firing of a ballistic missile toward the city of Riyadh alongside the targeting of several other cities across the Kingdom.
His Excellency underlined that the militia's persistent, futile attempts to strike civilians and civilian infrastructure lay bare its hostile and treacherous doctrine, demanding a firm international posture to deter such reprehensible acts.
Concluding his statement, His Excellency the Secretary General reiterated that the GCC member states stand united alongside the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, fully supporting every measure it undertakes to safeguard its security, sovereignty, and territorial integrity, emphasising that any threat to the Kingdom constitutes a direct assault on the stability and security of the entire region.
