His Excellency Mr Jasem Mohamed Albudaiwi, Secretary General of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC), expressed his condemnation and denunciation in the strongest terms of the sinful terrorist attacks carried out by the Houthi militia targeting the Najran region in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, which resulted in the injury of several innocent civilians in a treacherous and cowardly attack embodying the criminal approach of these militias.

His Excellency Mr Albudaiwi underscored  that this heinous terrorist crime by the Houthi militia represents a flagrant violation of international law and international humanitarian law, describing it as a crime requiring accountability due to its deliberate and indiscriminate targeting of civilians and civilian objects, in blatant defiance of all international norms and charters, and posing a serious threat to regional and international security and stability.

Concluding his statement, His Excellency the GCC Secretary General stressed that the security of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia is an integral part of the security of the GCC states, and that the Cooperation Council stands united with the Kingdom, supporting all measures it takes to protect its security, sovereignty, and territorial integrity, and to safeguard the security of its citizens and residents.
