His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces and Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Bahrain, received His Excellency Mr Jasem Mohamed Albudaiwi, Secretary General of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC), on Wednesday (August 26, 2026) in Manama, the capital of the Kingdom of Bahrain.
During the meeting, HE the Secretary General briefed HRH the Crown Prince and Prime Minister on the efforts exerted by the General Secretariat, in coordination with the member states, to follow up on the implementation of the decisions and directives of Their Majesties and Highnesses, the Leaders of the GCC states, which were approved at the 19th Consultative Meeting of the GCC Supreme Council. He also reviewed the efforts undertaken in coordination with the relevant authorities in the member states to follow up on the implementation of these decisions, in a manner that achieves their desired objectives and aspirations.
HE the Secretary General also extended his gratitude and appreciation to HRH the Crown Prince and Prime Minister for the significant efforts and continued support provided by the Kingdom of Bahrain to the work of the Higher Committee tasked with following up on the implementation of the decisions. He affirmed that this support serves as a strong incentive to continue strengthening joint GCC action in order to bring goodness and prosperity to the peoples of the GCC states.
