His Excellency Mr Jasem Mohamed Albudaiwi, Secretary General of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC), welcomed the announcement by the United States of America ratifying the decision to rescind the designation of the sisterly Syrian Arab Republic from the list of State Sponsors of Terrorism.
His Excellency underscored that this step represents a positive development that supports efforts aimed at enhancing Syria's security and stability, while creating conducive conditions to advance recovery and development pathways in a manner that fulfills the aspirations of the brotherly Syrian people for a future of security, stability, and prosperity.
Concluding his statement, His Excellency reiterated the GCC's steadfast position in support of the Syrian Arab Republic, its sovereignty, independence, and territorial integrity, underscoring the significance of continued international efforts and supportive measures for the Syrian leadership and brotherly people.
