His Excellency Mr Jasem Mohamed Albudaiwi, Secretary General of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC), received His Excellency Mr Hammam bin Nasser bin Juraid, Executive Director of the Arab Gulf Programme for Development (AGFUND), today, Sunday (23 August 2026), at the General Secretariat headquarters in Riyadh.
At the outset of the meeting, His Excellency Mr Juraid reviewed the objectives and efforts of AGFUND, as well as its developmental contributions across various fields.
Furthermore, both sides discussed aspects of cooperation between the GCC and AGFUND and explored ways to advance them to facilitate the exchange of expertise in areas of mutual concern, thereby reinforcing efforts aimed at achieving the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) in the GCC member states.
His Excellency the GCC Secretary General commended the efforts exerted by AGFUND and its qualitative developmental initiatives and programmes across several fields, underscoring the significant role the Programme plays in supporting development pathways and fostering strategic partnerships at regional and international levels.
