His Excellency Mr Jasem Mohamed Albudaiwi, Secretary General of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC), met with Their Excellencies the Ambassadors of the GCC member states accredited to international organisations in Geneva, today, Wednesday (8 July 2026), in the city of Geneva, Swiss Confederation.
At the outset of the meeting, His Excellency Mr Albudaiwi praised the distinguished efforts exerted by Their Excellencies the Ambassadors in representing the GCC states within international organisations, as well as their effective diplomatic work that embodies the high standing of the GCC countries.
He also commended their role in coordinating joint Gulf stances and bolstering the GCC presence in the work of international organisations, in a manner that supports the adoption of Gulf resolutions and initiatives and leads to cementing their presence and impact across various international forums.
Meanwhile, the officials reviewed during the meeting the efforts and achievements made by the GCC member states' missions to international organisations, which have cemented the GCC's position as a reliable and effective partner in addressing regional and international issues of common concern.
Furthermore, His Excellency expressed his deep appreciation for the Gulf diplomatic talent represented by the experts working in the GCC member states' missions to international organisations, and the key role they play in preparing files, drafting stances, and following up on the work of international committees and meetings, which has contributed to accomplishing numerous diplomatic successes and milestones for the GCC states.
