His Excellency Mr Jasem Mohamed Albudaiwi, Secretary General of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC), expressed his condemnation and denunciation in the strongest terms of the brutal Iranian targeting of the tanker “Al Rekayyat", which belongs to the State of Qatar, and the endangerment of its crew, stating that this constitutes a dangerous escalation that threatens the security and stability of the region.
His Excellency called upon the international community to assume its responsibilities and take a firm and deterrent stance against these repeated Iranian attacks, in a manner that protects regional and international peace and security, as well as prevents the recurrence of such hostile acts that threaten the stability of the region.
Moreover, His Excellency reiterated that the GCC stands as one with the State of Qatar, expressing its full solidarity with the country in all measures it takes to confront this treacherous Iranian targeting.
