His Excellency Mr Jasem Mohamed Albudaiwi, Secretary General of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC), met with Their Highnesses and Excellencies the Ambassadors of the GCC member states accredited to the Republic of Italy, on the occasion of his official visit to Italy today, Monday (6 July 2026), in the city of Rome.
At the beginning of the meeting, His Excellency reviewed the Gulf-Italian relations and the scope of the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) signed earlier today with the Italian side, highlighting its desired objectives to bolster the mutual interests of both sides.
Moreover, His Excellency listened to insights from Their Highnesses and Excellencies the Ambassadors regarding several topics related to bilateral relations between the GCC states and the Italian Republic, as well as the most prominent relevant developments.
His Excellency concluded the meeting by expressing his gratitude to Their Highnesses and Excellencies the Ambassadors for their pivotal role, cooperation, and joint Gulf coordination, which have significantly led to driving Gulf-Italian relations toward broader horizons.
