His Excellency Shaikh Saoud bin Abdulrahman bin Hassan bin Ali Al Thani, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of State for Defence Affairs of the State of Qatar, received His Excellency Mr Jasem Mohamed Albudaiwi, Secretary General of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC), on Tuesday (June 9, 2026) in the Qatari capital, Doha.
During the meeting, a number of topics related to joint GCC military action were discussed and reviewed, in a manner that contributes to strengthening integration and cooperation among the armed forces of the Cooperation Council to address regional and international challenges and developments, support the security and stability of the GCC states, and preserve their achievements. This comes in implementation of the directives of Their Majesties and Highnesses, the Leaders of the GCC states, aimed at enhancing the joint GCC security and defence system.
