His Excellency Mr Jasem Mohamed Albudaiwi, Secretary General of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC), received His Excellency Mr Sebastian Mitrache, Ambassador of the Republic of Romania to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, today, Sunday, June 7, 2026, at the GCC General Secretariat headquarters in Riyadh.
During the meeting, several topics of common concern were discussed. Most notably, they reviewed bilateral relations between the GCC and Romania, alongside broader Gulf-European ties, exploring paths to enhance and develop them to serve mutual interests. The two sides also followed up on the latest developments regarding the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) signed between the GCC and Romania in February 2019.
Additionally, the meeting touched upon the latest regional and international developments, as well as various issues of mutual interest.
