His Excellency Mr Jasem Mohamed Albudaiwi, Secretary General of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC), stated that the high directives of Their Majesties and Highnesses, the Leaders of the GCC states, during their 19th Consultative Meeting, emphasised the significance of accelerating the implementation of several joint Gulf projects.
He pointed out that these projects are essential for bolstering the GCC member states' economies, enhancing their resilience in the face of challenges, and promoting the welfare of the GCC peoples.
This statement was made during His Excellency’s meeting with senior officials of the General Secretariat, held today, Monday, May 4, 2026, at the General Secretariat headquarters in Riyadh.
During the meeting, the participants reviewed the outcomes of the 19th Consultative Meeting of the GCC Supreme Council.
They established specific mechanisms for follow-up and implementation in coordination with the concerned parties and relevant authorities in the member states and the General Secretariat.
His Excellency Mr Albudaiwi underscored the necessity of intensifying and consolidating efforts to ensure the full execution of these high directives.
