His Excellency Mr Jasem Mohamed Albudaiwi, Secretary General of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC), received His Excellency Mr Ali Karanouh, Ambassador of the Lebanese Republic to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, today, Monday, February 23, 2026, at the General Secretariat headquarters in Riyadh.
During the meeting, several topics were discussed, including a review of relations between the GCC and Lebanon and ways to develop and strengthen them to achieve mutual interests.
The two sides also followed up on the latest developments and conditions regionally and internationally.
His Excellency further noted during the meeting that the GCC has accepted the invitation to attend the International Conference in Support of the Lebanese Army and Security Forces, scheduled to be held in the French capital, Paris, next month.
This participation reaffirms the GCC’s steadfast positions alongside the brotherly Lebanese Republic and its continuous support for Lebanon’s sovereignty, security, and stability، His Excellency underscored.
