His Excellency Mr Jasem Mohamed Albudaiwi, Secretary General of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC), stated that the 8th joint ministerial meeting of the strategic dialogue between the GCC and the Russian Federation, attended by Their Highnesses and Excellencies the Foreign Ministers of the GCC States and Russia, will be held tomorrow, Thursday (September 11, 2025), in Sochi, Russia.
HE the Secretary General explained that the meeting comes within the generous directives of Their Majesties and Highnesses, the leaders of the GCC States, calling for cooperation and building relations with all countries and regional blocs, in an effort to tailor strategic partnerships with the international community and intensify the Gulf's regional and international presence.
His Excellency affirmed that several topics on the agenda will be discussed during this ministerial meeting, exploring ways to increase joint cooperation on the one hand, and exchanging views on a number of regional and international issues on the other.
HE the Secretary General also pointed out that since the two sides signed the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) for Strategic Dialogue in November 2011, the GCC states and Russia have been keen to strengthen GCC-Russian relations and advance them towards broader horizons in order to serve the common interests of both sides at all levels and in all fields.
