His Excellency Dr Rashad Mohammed Al Alimi, President of the Presidential Leadership Council of the Republic of Yemen, received His Excellency Mr Jasem Mohamed Albudaiwi, Secretary General of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC), today, Wednesday, December 17, 2025, in Riyadh.
During the meeting, the officials reviewed Gulf-Yemeni relations and discussed the current situation in the Republic of Yemen, with a particular focus on recent developments in the governorates of Hadramout and Al Mahra. His Excellency the GCC Secretary General affirmed that all efforts are being exerted and supported to enhance security and stability in Yemen.
From his side, His Excellency the President of the Presidential Leadership Council commended the honourable stances, the leading role, and the exceptional efforts made by the GCC states to support the Republic of Yemen across various fields, contributing to the enhancement of Yemen’s stability and the realisation of its development.
Furthermore, His Excellency Mr Albudaiwi reiterated the GCC’s steadfast position affirming full support for the Presidential Leadership Council, headed by His Excellency Dr Al Alimi, and its supporting entities, in their endeavours to achieve security and stability in Yemen.
He further underscored the Cooperation Council's support for reaching a comprehensive political solution in accordance with the three references, in a manner that preserves the sovereignty, unity, territorial integrity, and independence of brotherly Yemen.
