His Excellency Mr Jasem Mohamed Albudaiwi, Secretary General of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC), met with Her Excellency Ms Kaja Kallas, High Representative of the European Union (EU) for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy, on Monday, October 6, 2025, in Kuwait City.
The meeting took place on the sidelines of the 29th Joint Ministerial Meeting between the Cooperation Council and the EU. During the meeting, they discussed ways to enhance the strategic partnership between the GCC and the EU and reviewed areas of joint cooperation.
They also reviewed the 29th Joint Ministerial Council meeting between the GCC and the EU, which was held today in the presence of Their Excellencies the Foreign Ministers of the GCC and EU countries.
Additionally, views were exchanged on the latest developments in the Middle East, international efforts to advance the peace process, and ways to maintain coordination and cooperation in facing common challenges.
At the conclusion of the meeting, both sides affirmed the importance of strengthening the strategic partnership between the GCC and the EU.
They stressed the necessity of continuing political dialogue and deepening cooperation in economic, security, and developmental fields in order to serve common interests and promote regional and international security and stability.
