His Excellency Mr Jasem Mohamed Albudaiwi, Secretary General of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC), discussed the latest developments regarding the GCC-US Trade and Investment Dialogue with Mr Jason Buntin, Deputy Assistant United States Trade Representative (USTR) for Middle East and North Africa, during a telephone call today, Tuesday (11 August 2026).

During the call, both sides expressed their aspiration that this dialogue, scheduled to be held in the upcoming period, will contribute to cementing investment and economic ties among the GCC states and the United States of America.

His Excellency pointed out that the GCC side looks forward to discussing several key topics during the event, including trade and investment facilitation, the digital economy, cybersecurity, agriculture, food security, resilient supply chains, advanced and green infrastructure, industrial and technological cooperation, as well as intellectual property.
