​His Excellency Mr Jasem Mohamed Albudaiwi, Secretary General of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC), expressed his grave denunciation and unequivocal condemnation of the terrorist attack perpetrated by the Houthi militias targeting King Khalid International Airport in Riyadh, the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, which resulted in a number of deaths.

​His Excellency stressed that the Houthi militia’s deliberate targeting of civilian airports and civilians demands serious international action and decisive measures to ensure deterrence and prevent the recurrence of such attacks, which flagrantly violate the most fundamental humanitarian principles and international covenants.

​His Excellency the Secretary General reaffirmed that the security of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia is an integral part of the security of GCC member states, underscoring the Council’s absolute support for the Kingdom in all steps taken to safeguard its security, protect its capabilities, and defend its territorial integrity.

​His Excellency the Secretary General concluded his statement by extending his sincere condolences and heartfelt sympathy to the families and relatives of the deceased resulting from this terrorist assault, praying to Allah the Almighty to bestow His vast mercy upon them, admit them to His spacious gardens, and grant their families patience and solace, while wishing the injured a swift recovery.​
