Page ContentHis Excellency Mr Jasem Mohamed Albudaiwi, Secretary General of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC), met with His Excellency Mr Jagan Chapagain, Secretary General and CEO of the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies (IFRC), today, Wednesday, September 25, 2024, on the sidelines of his participation in the 79th session of the United Nations General Assembly in New York, USA.During the meeting, His Excellency the GCC Secretary General noted that the GCC states continuously strive to support and enhance cooperative and partnership relations with regional and international organisations that are active in humanitarian and relief work.He added that several topics were discussed, including ways to strengthen the cooperative relationship between the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies and the GCC states, as well as addressing key health issues and challenges on both regional and international fronts.
