  HE the GCCSG: The High-Level Forum on Security and Regional Cooperation between the EU and the GCC to be held Tomorrow in Luxembourg

His Excellency Mr Jasem Mohamed Albudaiwi, Secretary General of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC), announced that the High-Level Forum on Security and Regional Cooperation between the European Union (EU) and the GCC will be held tomorrow, Monday, April 22, 2024, in the Duchy of Luxembourg.

The forum will be chaired by His Excellency Shaikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al Thani, Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of the State of Qatar and President of the current session of the Ministerial Council, and His Excellency Mr Josep Borrell, High Representative of the European Union for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy. The forum will be attended by Their Highnesses and Excellencies the Ministers of Foreign Affairs of the GCC and EU member states.

On this occasion, His Excellency the Secretary General of the GCC stressed that the High-Level Forum on Security and Regional Cooperation, with the participation of Their Highnesses and Excellencies the Ministers of Foreign Affairs of the GCC and EU member states, represents an opportunity to strengthen dialogue between the GCC and the EU and to continue enhancing coordination on issues related to regional and global stability and security.

Moreover, His Excellency added that working together between the two sides to strengthen bilateral relations and develop new mechanisms for cooperation would contribute to unifying the views of the GCC and EU member states on various issues and files.
