Page ContentHis Excellency Mr. Jassem Mohamed Albudaiwi, Secretary General of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC), stressed the importance of following up on developments in the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) signed between the GCC and Malta in 2017, which serves the common interests of both sides.This came during his meeting with His Excellency Dr. Ian Borg, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Malta, today, Friday, September 22, 2023, on the sidelines of his participation in the 78th session of the United Nations General Assembly in New York, United States of America.Moreover, His Excellency the Secretary General stated that the GCC-European ministerial meeting which is scheduled to be held next October in Muscat was discussed, in addition to exchanging views on ways to enhance cooperation between the GCC countries and Malta. They also shed light on the latest developments in the political situation in the region and issues of mutual interest.
