The Future Summit, which will be held on the sidelines of his participation in the 78th session of the United Nations General Assembly in New York, United States of America.

Below is the full speech:

Excellencies,

Ladies and Gentlemen,

I would like to begin by extending my thanks and appreciation to the organizers of the Ministerial Preparatory Meeting for the Future Summit. The Cooperation Council believes that such a summit is necessary and comes at a time when all humanity is in dire need.

First, I would like to mention some challenges for which the Summit should find strong and realistic solutions:

* Climate change
* food security
* Water security
* Energy security
* Promoting education

Providing a decent life for certain regions of the world, such as the African continent.
However, the most worrying challenge facing the international community has nothing to do with providing energy, food or the environment. The most difficult aspect is that some players in the world continue to interfere in the affairs of countries and their internal policies. In our region, for example, some countries face serious obstacles in addressing the above-mentioned challenges, either due to occupation or interference by one state towards other countries. The ongoing struggle of the Palestinian people to provide education, health care, sustainable food and a decent life despite being subjected to oppression is a clear example of this.

Ladies and Gentlemen,

The GCC countries cooperated with the international community in providing humanitarian aid of all kinds, whether emergency humanitarian aid or development aid. Some Gulf Cooperation Council countries have reached more than 90 countries around the world. It has also been a pioneer in international initiatives aimed at achieving sustainable development goals.

I would like to pay tribute to the many contributions made by the Gulf Cooperation Council countries in the field of humanitarian and financial assistance to countries of the world. These contributions made by the Gulf Cooperation Council countries come from their belief in the importance of partnership and their commitment not only to working to achieve sustainable development goals at the national level, but also their commitment to addressing development issues at the global level and their support for development issues at the global level. Least developed countries without any political goals.

The Gulf Cooperation Council countries have consistently demonstrated their reliability as a partner in the international community, whether by acting as a fair mediator in regional and international conflicts, by providing serious and generous humanitarian aid, or by cooperating with the international community to develop and provide solutions to regional and international conflicts. Common challenges. Attention is drawn to the exceptional role of the UAE in organizing Cop28 in November, the wonderful effort made by the State of Qatar in hosting the International Horticultural Exhibition 2023 in October, and finally the initiative of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to establish the World Water Organization with its headquarters in Riyadh in an attempt to strengthen global efforts to address water challenges.

Ladies and Gentlemen,

In conclusion, we hope that the future summit will emerge with a strong partnership between regional and international organizations, and I am pleased to express the readiness of the General Secretariat of the Cooperation Council for the Arab States of the Gulf to work side by side with effective international organizations. In this field, based on the rich experience of the Gulf partnership during the Covid-19 pandemic, during which we worked together to confront risks, enhance joint coordination, and reduce the health and economic impacts on countries of the world.

Finally, we hope that this important meeting will achieve the desired goals, and we look forward to active participation that will contribute to the success of the next summit to address the challenges facing our planet Earth.

Thank you
