  HE GCCSG: Holding the 1st Gulf Industrial Exhibition and Honouring Inventors Today is a Great Indication of the Interest that the GCC Countries Give to the Private Sector and Human Resources

His Excellency Mr. Jassem Mohamed Albudaiwi, Secretary General of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) said that holding the 1st Gulf Industrial Exhibition and honouring inventors today is a great indication of the interest that the Council countries give to the private sector and human resources in this region, as well as it aims to promote Gulf national products and encourage and motivate GCC-based companies operating in the industrial sector.

This came during His Excellency’s participation in the opening of the 1st Gulf Industrial Exhibition, at the Sultan Qaboos Complex for Culture and Entertainment, today, Wednesday, September 13, 2023, in the city of Salalah.

His Excellency the Secretary General stated that the directives of Their Majesties and Highnesses, the leaders of the GCC countries always aim to pay attention to and support economic integration in the GCC and human resources, adding that this exhibition comes within the framework of these directives to encourage and stimulate GCC-based companies operating in the industrial sector, in addition to exchanging experiences between countries, in addition to strengthening the industrial sector.

Furthermore, His Excellency hailed the efforts made by the Ministry of Commerce, Industry, and Investment Promotion in the Sultanate of Oman to establish the 1st Gulf Industrial Exhibition and harness all the possibilities and human resources to make it a success. He expressed his gratitude and appreciation for this initiative, which reflects the spirit of joint Gulf action.

Moreover, His Excellency the Secretary General said that through the award of recognition for innovators, we are living a realistic embodiment and a practical application of our noble values, including the promotion of knowledge and its pioneers, and rewarding exceptional work. "Through this, we achieve optimal investment in the capabilities of our people," he pointed out, adding that honouring GCC and international creative individuals is strong evidence that Gulf brains are capable of making an international presence, which we take pride in.

In conclusion, His Excellency the Secretary General extended his congratulations and best wishes to the honoured Gulf factories and the winners of the Gulf Inventor Award, affirming that the General Secretariat of the GCC would always provide all forms of support to the private sector and talents.
