Page ContentHis Excellency Mr. Jassem Mohamed Albudaiwi, Secretary General of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC), stressed the importance of the partnership between the Cooperation Council and the European Union (EU) in many fields in order to serve mutual interests and accomplish common objectives.His Excellency's remarks came during his meeting with Dr. Annette Weber, the European Union Special Representative for the Horn of Africa, today, Monday (May 29, 2023) at the headquarters of the General Secretariat in Riyadh.During the meeting, several issues were discussed, most notably reviewing the cooperation relations between the GCC and the European Union, especially in the areas of peace, security, climate and food security in the Horn of Africa. They also exchanged views on the political and security developments in the Horn of Africa, the Red Sea and the Republic of Sudan.
