  HE the GCCSG: GCC Countries' Security is Interconnected and Indivisible, and Exercise "Takamul 1" Embodies Important Aspect of the Concept of Collective Defense for the GCC States, which is to Enhance Integration and Coordination among their Armed Forces

His Excellency Mr Jasem Mohamed Albudaiwi, Secretary General of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC), affirmed that the security of the GCC countries is interconnected and indivisible, adding that Exercise "Takamul 1" embodies an important aspect of the concept of collective defense for the GCC countries, which is to enhance integration and coordination among their armed forces.  

This came during his participation on the closing day of Exercise "Takamul 1," held under the patronage and attendance of His Excellency Shaikh Ahmed Fahad Al Ahmad Al Sabah, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defense in Kuwait, with the participation of Their Highnesses and Excellencies the Ambassadors of the GCC countries in Kuwait and a number of military leaders from the GCC countries on Wednesday, December 6, 2023, in the Al Adaira area, northern Kuwait.

Commenting further, His Excellency the Secretary General praised the coordination and integration he witnessed today among the participating military units from the armed forces of the GCC countries, affirming that these joint GCC military exercises contribute to enhancing the efficiency of the participants and unifying military efforts and capabilities at all levels.  

He also expressed his sincere thanks and appreciation to His Excellency the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defense Shaikh Ahmed Fahad Al Ahmad Al Sabah, and the members of the Ministry of Defense, for the great efforts and role played by the Kuwaiti Army in hosting this exercise and harnessing all capabilities, as well as the continuous support provided to the participating GCC units throughout the preparation, training, and implementation of this exercise.
