Page ContentHis Excellency Mr Jasem Mohamed Albudaiwi, Secretary General of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC), affirmed the importance of partnership between the GCC and the European Union (EU) in various areas, contributing to serving the mutual interests and goals of the GCC and European regions. His Excellency's remarks came during his reception of Her Excellency Dr Annette Weber, the EU Special Representative for the Horn of Africa on Saturday, November 18, 2023, on the sidelines of his participation in the 19th edition of the IISS Manama Dialogue Conference. During the meeting, several topics were discussed, including the review of cooperation between the GCC and the EU, especially in the African Horn, in areas of peace, security, climate, food security, as well as the political and security developments in the Horn of Africa, the Red Sea, and the Republic of Sudan.
