Page ContentHis Excellency Mr Jasem Mohamed Albudaiwi, Secretary General of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC), received His Excellency Dr Martin Larose, Director General of the Middle East Relations Division at the Global Affairs of Canada in the Bahraini capital, Manama, today, Saturday, November 18, 2023, on the sidelines of His Excellency’s participation in the 19th edition of the IISS Manama Dialogue Conference.During the meeting, they discussed ways to activate the joint action plan for strategic dialogue in political and security fields, as well as in areas of trade, investment, energy, education, and health.They also discussed bolstering the GCC-Canadian relations through increased people-to-people communication and enhancing cooperation in social, economic, educational, cultural, scientific, and human rights domains.They also reviewed the latest developments in regional and international matters of mutual interest, particularly the situation in the Gaza Strip and the serious Israeli violations against innocent people in the Strip. They also discussed the global and regional impact of these violations on security and stability.
