  The Secretary General of the Gulf Cooperation Council visits the Indonesian National Agency for Combating Terrorism

The Secretary General of the Gulf Cooperation Council Dr. Abdullatif bin Rashid Al-Zayani visited on Thursday, 29 August 2019 the Indonesian National Agency for Combating Terrorism headquarters in Jakarta, during his visit to the Republic of Indonesia.

During the meeting, Mr. Andika Kresnaidhantu, Deputy Director of the Indonesian National Agency for Combating Terrorism, presented the BNPT's efforts to counter terrorist organizations and cut their funding, and its outstanding successes in this area as a result of its strategic plans and coordination and cooperation efforts with the competent regional and international authorities and organizations. He stressed that Indonesia has a proven record of its efforts and constructive participation as part of the international community in countering terrorism, and has a good reputation internationally for what it has achieved to maintain security, stability and social peace.
The meeting was attended by, Dr. Abdulaziz Hamad Al-Owaishek, the Assistant Secretary General for Political Affairs and Negotiations, BNPT senior officials, and the Secretary General accompanying delegation.
