  The Secretary General of the Gulf Cooperation Council meets the Appointed Secretary General

The Secretary General of the Gulf Cooperation Council Dr. Abdullatif bin Rashid Al-Zayani received on Monday, 30 December 2019, at the GCC headquarters in Riyadh, the Appointed Secretary General of the Gulf Cooperation Council Dr. Nayef bin Falah Al-Hajraf and the accompanying delegation.
The Secretary General and the Appointed Secretary- General attended a presentation in which a number of the relevant leaders of the General Secretariat participated in addressing the efforts of organizational restructuring, the approved training fields, performance development and service improvement in the General Secretariat, approved administrative systems, up to the stage of quality and excellence and what has been achieved in benefiting from technologies in implementing the development projects.
During the presentation, Dr. Abdullatif Al-Zayani stressed the importance of the Appointed Secretary General getting acquainted with the administrative and organizational development efforts in the General Secretariat and its offices as an important aspect of the handover process. It will be followed by extensive and detailed meetings between the Appointed Secretary General and the Assistant Secretaries, Heads of sectors and Directors General to explain all issues related to the Secretariat's supportive role to enhance the GCC joint work through organizing, coordinating and following up the work of specialized ministerial councils and committees.
Dr. Abdullatif Al-Zayani and Dr. Nayef Al-Hajraf also toured the offices of the General Secretariat, which included the Secretary General’s building, the conference center and meeting rooms, where the Appointed Secretary General got acquainted with the facilities it includes and the services it performs, and met with a number of its employees.
The Appointed Secretary General praised the effective efforts made by the General Secretariat in performing the tasks and responsibilities entrusted to it to support and enhance the GCC joint work, appreciating the support and care this organization enjoys from the esteemed Supreme Council and the distinguished Ministerial Council. He expressed his appreciation for the dedication, giving and enthusiasm of its employees to improve the administrative work, develop performance and organize the services provided by the General Secretariat, noting what the General Secretariat has reached of an advanced administrative and organizational level and professionalism, which reflects the efficiency and high capabilities of its employees, and looking forward to working with them after receiving his duties to continue the path of growth and development for the Gulf Cooperation Council and the General Secretariat.
