  40th GCC Summit to be held in Riyadh on December 10

The Secretary General of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) Dr Abdulateef bin Rashid Al Zayani has announced that Their Majesties and Highnesses the leaders of the GCC countries will hold the 40th GCC summit in Riyadh on Tuesday 10 December 2019 under the leadership of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, the King of Saudi Arabia.

The GCC Ministerial Council will hold the preparatory meeting at the GCC headquarters in Riyadh on Monday 9 December, Dr Al Zayani added.

“Their Majesties and Highnesses will discuss several important political, defense, economic and social issues to reinforce the progress of the GCC and integration among the GCC members. They will also review regional and international political developments as well as the security situation in the region and its effects on the security and stability of the GCC countries,” Dr Al Zayani said.

The GCC secretary general expressed confidence that the summit will result in constructive decisions that will strengthen the Gulf cohesion and deepen cooperation and integration among the member countries.
