Dr. John Duke Anthony is the Founding President and Chief Executive Officer of the National Council on US-Arab Relations, on the occasion of their visit to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
During the meeting, the Secretary General welcomed the delegation, noting the strategic partnership between the GCC and the United States and the continuous cooperation and coordination efforts between the two sides in various fields, to ensure the achievement of common interests and enhance the security and stability of the region.
The Secretary General pointed out that the GCC represents an important political system that seeks to enhance cooperation and integration among its member states for the welfare and well-being of their citizens, in a way that achieves security, stability and prosperity.
He said that the GCC has achieved many of its objectives in various political, defense, security and economic fields. The GCC States are working in cooperation with allied and friendly countries to ensure the protection of energy sources and international shipping lines in the waters of the Arabian Gulf and the Red Sea. He stressed that the GCC States have been calling for promoting peace and enhancing the security and stability of the region.
The meeting was attended by, Maj. Gen Ahmed Ali Al Ali, Assistant Secretary General for Military Affairs and a number of senior officers of the Assistant Secretariat for Military Affairs.
