Page ContentHis Excellency Mr Jasem Mohamed Albudaiwi, Secretary General of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC), Secretary General of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC), received His Excellency Mr Luigi Di Maio, the European Union's Special Representative for the Gulf region, on Thursday, September 26, 2024, on the sidelines of his participation in the 79th session of the United Nations General Assembly in New York, USA.During the meeting, several topics were discussed, including preparations for the upcoming GCC-EU summit scheduled for October this year in addition to reviewing the relations between the two sides at all levels.The meeting also addressed the latest developments in the region, particularly the serious situation in Gaza and the Palestinian territories, as well as exchanging views on these matters, emphasising on the immediate cessation of hostilities and the implementation of relevant UN resolutions.
