Page ContentHis Excellency Mr Jasem Mohamed Albudaiwi, Secretary General of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC), expressed the complete solidarity and support of the GCC with the Arab Republic of Egypt against the provocative statements issued by the Israeli Prime Minister, which aim to distort Egypt's image and undermine its significant and leading role in the region, as well as its clear and evident efforts in mediating to resolve the crisis in Gaza.His Excellency stressed that Egypt plays a pivotal role in enhancing regional and international stability through its ongoing mediation efforts to achieve a ceasefire in the Gaza Strip and alleviate the suffering of the Palestinian people since the outbreak of the crisis.He stressed the GCC's full rejection of such irresponsible statements, which do not serve peace in the region but rather contribute to increasing tension and exacerbating the situation. He affirmed the necessity for Israel to adhere to international principles and signed agreements, as well as to cease its aggressive actions in Gaza and all Palestinian areas.His Excellency the GCC Secretary General concluded his statement by reiterating the unwavering support of the GCC countries for Egypt in its diligent efforts to promote security and stability in the region, and to work together to achieve the noble objectives that unite Arab and Islamic countries in the face of common challenges.
